Hardware Support

NI USRP Radio Support for High-Speed Transmit and Capture from Wireless Testbench

Test wideband wireless systems and perform spectrum monitoring

Capabilities and Features

Wireless Testbench Support Package for NI™ USRP™ Radios enables you to connect and set up NI USRP radios for use in Wireless Testbench. This support package provides a USRP hardware driver (UHD) and prebuilt FPGA bitstreams that let you explore Wireless Testbench capabilities on supported NI USRP hardware.

Using this support package with NI USRP hardware, you can transmit and capture at sample rates up to 250 MSPS, perform spectrum monitoring, and test wideband wireless systems using high-speed transmit and capture. You can capture data at such rates and use the data to train deep learning models for wireless applications.

The prebuilt FPGA bitstreams provide intelligent signal capture and hardware-based resampling that leverage the FPGA hardware to work with wireless standards on the NI USRP hardware, such as 5G, WLAN, and DVB-S2/S2X.

Wireless Testbench Support Package for NI USRP Radios provides support for these radios:

USRP Networked Series

  • USRP N310
  • USRP N320
  • USRP N321

USRP X Series

  • USRP X310 with UBX 160 daughterboard (The USRP X310 radio support also enables you to use the equivalent USRP NI–2944R and USRP NI–2954R radios with Wireless Testbench. For more information on how to convert these radios into an equivalent X310 radio, see Running UHD and GNU Radio on NI USRP-RIO on the hardware vendor website.)
  • USRP X410
