Good morning,
I am trying to receive a long number in thingspeak and convert it to a string. However, when I receive it, it converts it to a number using scientific notation. I have tried changing the format to long g and others and was able to get rid of the scientific notation part.
After doing so, I have used commands such as num2str, mat2str, and compose to represent the number as a string, but I keep getting results that are off. An example is a message i am sending as:
field1=100630000553400000000
using an MQTT desktop client. However, when I receive it and print the result, I get:
0100630000553399992320
The numbers are close but the right one. Is there something I am missing?
Thanks in advance!
Pedro Ch.
Good morning,
I'm working with an Arduino MKR 1010 which takes information about weather from the website "api.openweathermap.org". On a ThingSpeak dashboard I displayed the main numbers (float) information like: temperature, wind speed, humidity, etc. Moreover, from the openweathermap I can also get string sentence (e.g. "light rain" or "broken clouds" etc.). I'm wondering if there is a way to display on the ThingSpeak dashboard string fields. Indeed, in the ThingSpeak Channel Settings I added an extra Field in order to store these string words but I don't know how to print them in the dashboard.
Someone can help me?
Thanks in advance,
Lorenzo
I have been stuck in the Cody question: Problem 31. Remove all the words that end with "ain"
for the whole afternoon. My codes below passed the first two tests but failed in the third one, because my codes cannot separate "" and ain. Anyone could help?
function s2 = remAin(s1)
s1_cell = strread(s1, '%s');
[s1_cell{find(not(cellfun('isempty', regexp(s1_cell, '\w*ain\>'))) == 1)}] = deal(' ');
s2 = strjoin(s1_cell');
s2 = strrep(s2, sprintf('%c%c%c', 32,32,32), sprintf('%c%c', 32,32));
if s2(end) == ' ' && s2(end-1) == ' '
s2(end) = [];
end
