If I have multiple virtual machines that I sometimes run MATLAB in, do those count individually?
If I have two desktops side-by-side that I use, is that one or two ?
The question was intended to capture every unique instance. So, different hardware would definitely count as different setups. And, virtual machines simulate different hardware and/or operating systems, so those should increase the count, too.
