Modelling a rotational friction drive with parallel axes using simscape
이전 댓글 표시
Hello,
I am currently trying to model the transport of a tape deck, using simcape , which uses a DC motor connected to either a belt or friction drive to rotate a small radius metal cyclinder called the capstan. The capstan is then pressed against a rubber wheel that is driven by the friction of the rotating cylinder to acctuate playback. I am currently stuck on how I would go about modelling this friction drive where the one wheel is driven and the other is driven by the friction of the other wheel. The wheels are in tangential contact with parallel axes. I thought about trying to use lodaded contact friction but am unsure if this is the right way to go about it. If anyone could provide me with some help and how I can model this kind of mechanism within simscape it would be greatly appreciated. Please find attached a photo of the current model I am using.
Kind regards,
Matt

It sounds to me that a rotational friction block can be a good place to start. If you are comfortable with ignoring the "tangential contact" for now and think about how the torque & power is being transferred, this may be a viable solution to "represent" your system.
