simulate a lead acid battery

i m trying to discharge a lead acid battery through a resistor but i m unable to connect the resistor to the battery .... the simulink doesnt allow it ?

what to do ?

Which battery model are you using? SimPowerSystems? SimElectronics?

I suspect the resistor and the battery are implemented using different technologies. Most likely, Simscape and Specialied Power Systems. It is best to use only one technology that meets your requirements. There are equivalent blocks that should enable doing this with either technology.
