Maximilian holds a M.S. equivalent degree (Dipl-Ing) in Electrical Engineering with minors in Control Engineering from TU Munich. Before he joined MathWorks he worked for the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). His research topics at DLR were the development of Moon or Mars rovers. The focus was on multi-body simulation, contact mechanics, rover performance testing and rover control. He was involved in the European Space Agency's ExoMars project and in a few smaller national projects.
