Why is EMF (meta) file format not in the list of publishable formats in MATLAB Preferences?

The PRINT function is able to print EMF (meta) files. I would like the EMF (meta) files format (and/or other useful formats) to be included in the options in the File -> Preferences -> Editor/Debugger - Publishing Images - Image File Types drop down menu.

This enhancement has been incorporated in Release 14 Service Pack 2 (R14SP2).
For previous product releases, there are no workarounds.
