need help regarding s function block for genetic algorithm...

Hi I am new to S-function builder in matlab.i need help in building s function block for genetic algorithm based optimization.I tried using the help file, but it shows errors in mex file creation. Please help me ..urgent...

I got the solution for the problem i has specified...I used s-function builder for an optimization block and it generates three outputs...but another one comes into picture...these 3 parameters i need to connect back to the system sothat it can be updated dynamically..since no port options are available for these parameters( eg: Hysteresis band value say,HB in ahyst.controller), i cant update them. please suggest a solution for the same.. Thank you.

Balraj: I would recommend updating your question with your new statement or creating a new question so it is obvious to other users what your question is.

Secondly, please clarify the statement "these 3 parameters i need to connect back to the system" - did you mean the 3 output signals? It seems like you need to store and update 3 quantities at every time-step - is that correct? If yes, have you considered work vectors (think of them as your block's states).

Kaustubha: yes.. you are correct. The 3 outputs generated by the s function block have to be connected back to the system and should be stored and updated at every time step.
