Programmatic call to Simulink menu functions?

specifically, I want to call

"Diagram | Arrange | Align Middle"

from a script so that blocks I've programatically re-sized will line up nicely. Seems like the question is more generic than this, however --

I would appreciate a definitive answer, even if the answer that answer is "no, it can't be done"

Douglas: I don't know the answer to the question, which is why I didn't post my comment as an answer. I just wanted to be sure that you (and anyone else who reads this question in the future) knows that features requests made here are not heard by the development teams.
