Error using open line 163

When I attempt to open any m file I am getting the error message:

Error using open (line 163) Undefined function or variable 'edit1'.

I am mainly working with GUIs right now and do not have any GUIs where I use the tag 'edit1'. Figures will open, but not a single m file (even m files that are not GUIs). Error message just pops up

Resolved this issue by restarting computer
