std and mean for Generalized Extreme Value Distribution

Hey guys, i have data that the best fit dist for it is Generalized Extreme Value Distribution, and i want to find the data std and mean, will the standard std(x) and mean(x) functions be good for finding the these values for Generalized Extreme Value Distribution? or are they meant only for normal dist and there another function for this distribution?
