Extract and plot data with a given range

I have Pollution and population data with given latitude and longitude for the entire India. I want to extract both pollution and population data for a 20*20 Km square grid. I want an increment of 0.179 for each lat and long and extract the data which lie within the grid. Then I want the computer to print the correlation value between the extracted pollution and population data for each square grid. I want it to be done for the pan India. I am attaching my excel file with four columns having Lat Long Pollution and Population density.

I tried it in MATLAB. I actually find difficulties with the commands that can be used in the analysis!
