USB to serial communication under real-time windows target

hello everyone i am trying to establish a connection between the matlab and the dsPIC, i use FTDI USB to serial cable . i send a simple packet but the dsPIC never receive it. the dsPIC work perfectly when i send a packet using the realterm software. so the problem is from the matlab side. if any one can help me i will appreciate that .
