compare iges or dxf files OR generate a water tight model

Hi,

I have some troubles getting started with my first project in matlab. I'd like to compare two iges or dxf models with each other. So basically If you have two models of a plane one is uncrashed and the other is crashed. I like to find out how much volume difference there is between the two wireframe models. Is that somehow possible in matlab ? I know it’s not an easy task but, do you think it’s possible to do this with matlab ?

I work with a Photogrammetry software, the output of the software is an iges or a dxf file with only a wire frame and roundabout 300-400 mesh points.

I tried to use the IGES Toolbox but I failed.

If someone could give me some advice that would be very appreciated.
