imagesc plotting from double array matrices, tables

Hi. I have a matrix exported to a .csv file - 1st row represents the depth(y-axis), 1st column represents the datetime(x-axis), and the data in between is what I intend on plotting using 'IMAGESC'. Can I just use the workspace double arrays and tables to plot the image? Or do I need to work off of the exported .csv file? I appreciate all the help. Thank you.
