Hello,
I'm editing the post as I've got a Simscape driveline license.
I'm trying, right now, to simulate a Lead Screw block with a Spring in parallel.
The spring is aiming to push the nut in the opposite direction of the Axial Effort or in the same direction if the nut is going from the port N to the port S.
Currently, I don't get any torque on the S port of the Lead Screw block even though I have a force on N port.
I've a lot of sensor and I'm not sure whether all are needed, as well as the Inertia block.
Somebody could explain how can I get a torque on the rotational side of the Lead Screw block (S port)?
Thanks a lot.

Hello Cyril
The problem is that the speed sensor is coupled in series with the shaft, thus leaving the inertia isolated and the shaft open.
Try connecting port C in the sensor to a rotational reference.

Hello Juan,
Thank you very much for your answer.
So I tried first to replace the inertia block by a rotational reference, it did not work.
Then I tried to add the inertia again between the Torque sensor and the speed sensor, well it does work, eventhough I've no Idea why the Torque curve looks like that (see picture)...
The speed is still equal to 0 though.
I have to analyse this a bit more.
I'm quite surprise of this solution as I thought integrating a reference would block the shaft. Maybe I didn't understand very well how the sensors work.

Hi Cyril,
In Simscape you have two types of physical variables: across (measured in parallel: speed, pressure, temperature...) and then through (measured in series: torque, flow, heat...). So you need to be careful when using sensors.
the way you use the screw is unusual, normally you have a driving torque on the shaft (S) and then the desired motion is the translation on the other side. With a bit of patience you'll get this right.
