Scroll() not working on text area

The documentation says that scroll should be able to programatically scroll a text area in matlab, but im getting errors.
I straight copied and pasted the example code at https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/uitextarea.html and even that code is not working:

scrolling in text area is added in 2020b.
