Regression Model Simulation in Real Time

Hello, everyone!

How could I simulate a regression model in real time?

The model represents the dynamics of an industrial batch process. I'm going to use a Modbus TCP/IP connection to a PLC to get inputs to the model every minute, then the model gives me outputs for a better production. The idea is to create a data based digital twin.

I was thinking about using Simulink Desktop Real-Time with the Matlab function block, but I don't need a hard real time so I was thinking if I could do it in another way.
