Matlab 2020b shuts down without warning

I have been having problems with Matlab 2020b on my new laptop a Dell Precision 5540 with the i9-9980HK CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2400 Mhz, 8 Cores, 16 Logical Processors, 64 GB of installed memory, NVidia Quadro T2000. Never had a problem on my old laptop, a Lenovo T460. Not only the system hangs up when I use simple parfor loops (no warning, no error, it just stalls), today Matlab shut down itself (for the first time) without even using any pararell computing function. I will call technical support, but was wondering if anybody is experiencing similar issues. Thanks
