So about three weeks ago I had written a matlab scipt all of a sudden its path no longer exists nor can I locate in anywhere on my device. Only mentions I can even find of the file is held withing the command history log that matlab stores.
Originally the file I had was located in a file C:/user/appdata/temp/tmp1/matlab_octave...or around that although it seems anything within that folder no longer exist. Not sure how this has happened although looking for any possible support, ideas or anything that may help me locate these files.

It sounds like your computer may have created temporary folders, then deleted them. Someone may be able to help you recover (check the Trash?) but I'm not too optimistic
Did you manually save functions there or did some program do it?

Thank you for your response. I figured that may have been the case.. Unfortunately I cannot recall if I had although I believe I did save it there myself. Problem is there is no way on earth that I made folder name matlab_octave so I am assuming I may have chose a random folder to save it in, a folder which somehow deleted itself.. I have used many methods to try and recover the data, including data recovery tools, checking registry blah blah... None of it worked. I shall just restart. One again thank you for taking the time to respond. Much appreciated.
