Undefined function 'tf' for input arguments of type 'char'.

Hey everyone,

so I need to do some aerospace homework. I am running R2012b.

I type in: s = tf('s')

just like my prof. says to and just like the help file says to

and i get the error:

Undefined function 'tf' for input arguments of type 'char'.

can someone please help me?!??!

Do you have Control System Toolbox? What is the out put of the following command?

i'm guessing that this means I do not have the Control System Toolbox

how do i go about getting that??

I guess you'll have to talk to the system administrator in your department. Maybe you can talk to your professor first and then ask your professor to handle it. I assume this is going to be an issue for all students in the class.
