Undefined function or variable 'ran' in matlab R2018a

Hello,
I am using matlab R2018a in Windows10.
I want to use the random function ran, but when I run it, that following message is shown to me : Undefined function or variable 'ran'.
How resolve that problem ?

The function name is rand(): https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/rand.html, not ran().
