How to simplify this
D= 93^(1/2)*(a^2)^(1/2)
as ==>> 9.643a

If you have symbolic toolbox
syms a
assume(a > 0)
D = 93^(1/2)*(a^2)^(1/2);
y = vpa(D, 4)
Result
>> y
y =
9.644*a
