image and signal processing

I have generated a signal abd made it into an image using mat2gray and bwboundaries, found the frequency and the power of the signal. But the signal has pulses, does anyone know how to find the pulse duration and time of arrival of each pulse?

The DSP System Toolbox provides the facility to measure pulse width for each pulse in a discrete time signal, an example is discussed here. Similarly, Signal Processing Toolbox provides the same functionality for continuous time signals, which is discussed here.
