Setting boxplot fill and outline

In my boxplot I'd like the boxes to be filled with a certain color and the outlines of the boxes to be black. In 'traditional' plotstyle I can choose the box outline color and in the 'compact' style the fill color, but not both. Looking at the box handles, it seems that the boxes are made of lines, not rectangles, which makes it difficult to set the fill color. Even the "filled" boxes of the compact style are actually just thick lines.

Any workaround for this?
