Reactivate Matlab with different license

I had Matlab and Control System tool box installed, but deactivated it to move to a more powerful computer. Due to COVID-19 I now have need to reactive the software on the slower computer with a new license. How do I change the license file without reinstalling the software?

Most likely, you won't be able to launch MATLAB on your slower computer. Otherwise, you could go to Help, Licensing, Activate Software.

So you should log in your Mathworks account, go to My Account, link the new license number, then you can download the license file and copy it to the proper folder.
