Why Global Optimization toolbox is codenamed "gads"?

MATLAB toolboxes have straightforward codenames. For example, stats for Statistics and Machine Learning toolbox, optim for Optimization toolbox, deeplearning for Deep Learning toolbox, etc. But I couldn't figure out the complete form for gads. Is it "Global And Direct Search"?

When the toolbox was first introduced it was called the Genetic Algorithm and Direct Search Toolbox. It was renamed in release R2010a as you can see from the Release Notes PDF document.
