rearrange expression to plot dimensionless

log((x+.75*L)^2/(x+L)^2)

I have equations similar to this and I need to plot against x/L dimensionless value. I know how to to get the x terms in the form of x/L and getting rid of the L terms by hand but not sure how to do this in matlab. Thanks
