I am trying to query the NumFrames property of an mp4 file but am met with the error:

mp4 = VideoReader('2G.mp4')

the given URL is unsupported.

This turned out to be an unsupported codec issue. Downloading https://www.mediaplayercodecpack.com/ resolved the issue.
