3D Density Analysis in Point Cloud Data

Hello everyone,
I am studying on point cloud data as .pcd file in 3D. I want to make density analysis on this point cloud data. I am trying dividing my data to dense and sparse regions and processing each density region seperately.
How can I divide 3D point cloud data into different density regions?
