How can I used a .m file as an add on which is already written matlab 2020 version?

I am trying to use a funciton as a call in a different .m from an existing .m file. Is there any way I can link 2 matlab file together and call functions from each other?

As long as both are in the path and not a recursive infinite loop, sure.
Just refer to the function wanted like any other...there's no concept of "linking" in MATLAB...
