We are getting ready to install MATLAB on a virtual machine. How do we determine how to allocate resources for this installation?

Check the minimum requirement for MATLAB installation: https://www.mathworks.com/support/requirements/matlab-system-requirements.html, you should at least allocate resources more than that. Above that, you should consider your requirement. Is your work memory intensive or processor intensive?
