Solve system of equations where variables are xby1 column

Hello,
I want to solve a system of equations where the variables are columns (as they are a column data from a table). How do I write the names of the variables to solve in order for them not to be 1x1 variables.

x=A\b%where A is matrix of coefficients and b is a column vector of answers
