ctrl+r enter '% ' with 1 space bar inserted

Hi, everyone.

I have some difficulties starting MatLab.

1. ctrl+r enters '% ' with 1 space bar inserted, not '%' without any space bar, so I have to do manual deletion of the spaces.
2. all the character with wider space

If you need a percent sign, why don't you type that instead?

And what do you mean with the second part of your question?

I'm guessing he's reading a file that is Unicode as char() but we don't have enough context to know how/what to be able to do anything...
