Matlab 2019b will not start on Mac OS Catalina

I’m trying to use Matlab 2019b on my MacBook Pro (mid 2012) with macOS Catalina 10.15.3.

I just downloaded it and went through all of the steps but when I try to run the program I get an error message: “You can’t open the application “MATLAB_R2019b” because it is not responding.

I tried restarting my computer and even re-downloaded the software.

I think the best solution is to contact technical support. All users with a valid license get install support.
