MATLAB R2019b won't start on Ubuntu 19.10

Hello after downolading and installing MATLAB, the graphic window open when i click the alias on the desktop and then close without error message. During install, I was asked to add a c compiler (the link did not work) although gcc 9.2.1 is installed on my computer. Any hints? Thanks

sudo chown username -R ~/.matlab
