CompactDaq card not recognized

I am running an NI CompactDaq 9172 chassis, Matlab R2018b with Data Aquisition toolbox and have installed the hardware support package. My NI 9215 cards are communicating ok, but the 9217 (rtd) card is not showing up. It is working properly in the NI Labview environment. I am running the NI DAQ 17.5 device driver for the 9172 chassis.

I tried this with R2019b as well, with the data aquisition toolbox and hardware support package, with the Daq MX 18.5, 17.5 and 17.1 drivers.. None of the cards show up in R2019b.

Changing the driver to 17.1 in R2018b seems to make no difference with that set-up vs the other driver.

Any idea why the 9217 card would not be communicating with Matlab?

9217 is not supported yet in Simulink

The 9217 is currently listed as being supported by the Data Acquisition Toolbox; https://www.mathworks.com/hardware-support/nidaqmx.html

I am as well a bit confused with this page as MATLAB say supported but simulink says NA. When I try to check 9217 compatabililty in MATLAB it clearly displayed message that this is not not supported card (the help pages had some commands to check cards 0,1, 2... etc). Did you get something similar?

I am having a similar issue with 9217 and planning to get in touch with NI soon.
