How do I name the joints of a multibody imported from Soldiworks?

I'm attempting to create a script that opens a simscape model derived from a Solidworks assembly and generate Repeating Sequence Interpolated blocks that correspond to certain joints and connect to those joints. I know how to export the assembly and programatically generate RSI blocks, but in order to connect them, I need to know the names of the joints.

Is there a way to give names to joints like "elbow" or "wrist" as the assembly is beign created or as it's being exported?
