How to use new feature of sending alerts on thingspeak?

Good day
I want to find out if there are new latest features for sending alerts on your email? Other than using IFTTT configuration which uses ThingHttp, who can assist me on this topic? What is the difference between the previous one and this new one? Are there any commonalities?

There is a terrific overview at the Alerts API doc page, and you can see all the links to the specific pages for the functions and the example in the release notes.
