find the points in a 3d plot

Hi guys,

I have a 3d interpolated surface(polynomial interpolation). i want to find the coordinates of each point with writing a program instead of using data cursor,it means that i want to be able to enter one or two of the coordinates then matlab shows me the 3rd coordinate in command window or on the graph. can you help me with that?
