Simultaneous Comet plots for a vector and its components

Hello

I am looking to plot a vector and its components as they change with time in a comet plot. Right now, I can plot the vector in a comet plot, but I would need two more comets to capture the vectors components in two orthogonal directions. In total, my plot would ideally have 3 comets moving along trajectories described by a vector and its 2 components. If someone knows how to do it or has ideas on how to implement it please let me know.
