making my own function which can calculate the Power spectral density

Hey,
Can someone please help me with writing a function similar to CPSD which returns the power spectral density but without using the build in function in MATLAB. It should be done manually. It is alot to ask for but I hope someone can help.

Can you share the details (Maths) to calculate the PSD, so that we can help you implement it on MATLAB?
