Mac OS 10.15でArduinoと接続不良

Mac OS 10.15にアップデート後にMatlabとArduinoの接続不良が発生しました。simulinkでArduinoからの信号が出力できません。

mac OSの64bitに対応できるかと思いArduino IDE　1.9 -beta版をダウンロードしました。

a = arduinoで接続を確かめているのですが、下記のようなエラーが発生しました。

>> a = arduino

Mac OS 10.15でArduinoと接続方法を教えていただけないでしょうか。

（他の方にも同様の現象が発生しているのでしょうか？）
