I installed a more recent Matlab version (R2019b). I was trying to uninstall MatlabR2016b from my notebook as I woud usually do from the control panel. As soon I as click on uninstall, the uninstaller crashes at 0% without any error message or anything like it. Is there another way to do so?

@Johannes Eichholz & @zini giacomo I've done as you said and now I've got the same problem...? It's so frustrating!
After I installed the more recent version and realised I had this problem with the 2016b version, i uninstalled the recent version (not sure which one it was, maybe 2019b), which gave me no problem whatsover, and then proceeded to uninstall 2016b, whose uninstaller crashes (at 0% before, now 1% after I removed all the tools).
EDIT: by scrolling the internet I've found this software (Geek Uninstaller) which forces the removal of the program files. It looks like it worked.

I have also faced this same problem.
I deleted the whole Mathwork folder (I had only one matlab) as suggested from this link:
********************************************************************
If the MATLAB uninstaller was unable to complete, try executing the uninstall.exe from $MATLAB\uninstall (where $MATLAB is the folder where MATLAB is installed). For example:
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2014a\uninstall\bin\win64
If you are unable to complete the uninstaller, you can try the following workarounds:
1) Re-install MATLAB and overwrite the current MATLAB folder. This will re-create uninstall.exe and should allow you to uninstall once complete
2) Manually delete the MATLAB installation folder.
Aside from removing the installation of MATLAB, you can remove the MATLAB entries from the Windows System Path. For help modifying the Path in Windows, see the related article:
"How do I set my system path under Windows"

Further I follewd the procedure listed here:
********************************************************************
2. Delete the user preferences directory
In a File Explorer window, type the following into the address bar and then press Enter:\n
%appdata%
********************************************************************
This solved the problem for me. I am not sure whether this may work for you.
Thank you.
