How do I get MatLab coder?

I had the r2018b version of matlab I bought from my university and when I tried to type matlab coder in the command window it directed me to buy r2019a Matlab which I then went ahead and did but I still do not have matlab coder. I do not know how to obtain it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
