Show us how you're trying to open the file (the exact commands you run or the exact process you follow interactively in the Desktop) and a small sample of how the data is organized in the file.
Define "issues" and "breaks".
- Do you receive an error? If so what is the full and exact text of that error message (all the text displayed in red in the Command Window)?
- Do you receive a warning? If so what is the full and exact text of that warning message (all the text displayed in orange in the Command Window)?
- Do you not receive the data that you expect? If so, show us a small sample of what you receive and explain what you expected to receive instead.
What release of MATLAB are you using and is it a 32-bit or 64-bit version? What operating system are you using? [Windows, Linux, or Mac should be sufficient OS detail for now.]
