What is the popular and good face recognition algorithm?

hello,
My research is about facial expression recognation.there is too many algorithms for face detection, what is the best algorithm for face detection.
please guide me.

What is the popular and good face recognition algorithm?
Both the terms popular and good have diverse meaning in scientific world. Needless to say that the performance of the algos depends on test dataset.
Check the multiple algos with same test dataset, and find the GOOD in your case.
