M-PAM and M-ASK

Hi

I have to do M-PAM and M-ASK for transmitting a sequence of 0 and 1 which I obtained by Huffman coding of an image. Now, I have to use rectangular pulses p(n)of constant amplitude. I have to generate something like

     u(n)=[?I(k)?(n-kN)]*p(n) and  k=0toK-1;

I(k) are the discrete amplitudes given by 2i-1-M (M= # of symbols)

• is the convolution

K= # of transmitted symbols

N= symbol period

In case of ASK, p(n) will be multiplied by a cosine pulse

I will really appreciate if someone can help me.
