Hello,
Does a user with a designated computer licence can install and activate matlab on several computers using the same matlab account ?
If yes, how many computers can be activated ?
Thanks,
Elena

"Designated computer" means one activation for one machine only. You can see this as a lab machine, where multiple users can goto "physically" and work with MATLAB, but not access it remotely or at the same time with others.

Campus-Wide Licenses are network licenses that are usable by anyone who can pass whatever authentication procedures you use
Designated Computer licenses are specific to the individual host, usable by anyone who is able to log on to the host. Designated Computer licenses do not require network access.
Campus-Wide licenses are not Designated Computer Licenses: you have to purchase Designated Computer Licenses separately. It would not be common to purchase Designated Computer licenses if you have a Campus-Wide license -- not unless you have hosts that are to be accessible to non-students / non-staff (in which case they are not eligible for Campus-Wide), or unless you have remote hosts with poor or restricted network connections (such as if you have a student lab in your antarctic base)

My university has a Campus Wide license which includes licenses for designated computers. I assume in this case it is legal to install such a license on X computers in the lab. And the lab supervisor as a member of the academic community has the right to do so using his Mathworks account.
