Matlab is not getting started after installation

I was using Matlab R2017a and recently installed R2017b. However, my matlab does not open when I double-click the icon. I can see that the matlab icon appears in the bottom of the window bar for 0.5 seconds and it disappears right away..

it's better to contact mathwork support team right away if the problem persists see Contact Us on the top right corner of this page
